Fish the Fish Women’s Charity Fly Fishing Expo
Fish the Fish is a vintage trailer and fly fishing expo hosted by the Knotty Nymphs, a local women’s fishing group, to raise money for breast cancer research. Our task was to create a campaign that would introduce the expo to potential sponsors and visitors, while capturing the excitement and spirit of this unique event.
With such an interesting affair it wasn’t hard to create an equally interesting identity.
We began with a pencil, hand-drawn illustration and converted it to a digital graphic. Next, we layered colors and textures reminiscent of the vintage look and feel of the trailers, then created the ‘Fish the Fish’ logo using custom hand lettering that echoed the illustration. The final artwork was printed on textured paper, off-white paper, for an authentic vintage feel.
