GRAPHIC DESIGN INTERN

Job Description

Highline Design Company is a mighty little agency based in beautiful NW Montana. We’re brand makers, focused on creating unique, never-dull work. Since opening doors three years ago, we’ve grown substantially, won awards, and climbed plenty of mountains in nearby Glacier National Park. Our clientele ranges from Montana startups, local conservation groups and non-profits, to national and international businesses that appreciate the value of exceptional design.

Our ideal intern candidate (for Summer 2020):

  • Junior/Senior in a BFA Graphic Design/Visual Communication program
  • Lover of logo & branding design
  • Web design (WordPress knowledge is a plus, but not necessary)
  • Photography skills are a plus
  • Illustration skills are a plus
  • Works well with a small team of creatives
  • Enjoys the great outdoors, mountains, possibly bears, and being part of the best design agency in the great state of Montana.
  • Likes drinking coffee but not necessarily making coffee.

Perks of working with Highline:

  • We’re nice. And funny (we think)
  • No, we’re not a big name international agency, and as a result, you won’t be making coffee or doing repetitive production design. Our last intern was published twice in Communication Arts for work in our studio.
  • You will get hands-on experience in creating well-thought-out brands and design from concept to implementation.
  • Our home is surrounded by the country’s best trails and wilderness. The studio is 35 minutes from Glacier National Park.
  • The Flathead Valley (and Kalispell) is in the midst of some very exciting changes. Entrepreneurs are setting up shop, craft breweries are multiplying by the year, and communities are getting organized. We like to be smack-dab in the middle of the excitement, and often host and organize events to help our town grow smart.

Feel free to reach out to us with questions. We look forward to hearing from you!
